1. Overview
Can I Fly? is a weather-based decision tool that helps drone pilots assess whether current or forecast conditions are suitable for flying. It is not a flight authority, regulatory approval system, or safety certification service.
By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
2. No Guarantee
Weather conditions can change quickly and data may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. The app does not guarantee that flying is suitable, safe, or lawful at any time or location.
You must always assess conditions yourself and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and airspace restrictions in your area.
3. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all flight decisions made while using this app. This includes:
- Assessing weather and flying conditions
- Checking airspace restrictions and obtaining any required permissions
- Operating your drone safely, legally, and in compliance with local regulations
The app provides information to support your judgement. It does not make decisions for you.
4. Premium Subscription
Can I Fly? offers a Premium subscription that unlocks additional features, including altitude wind breakdown, forecast view, and flight condition notifications.
Billing. The Premium subscription is billed annually and renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. The price is shown before purchase and may vary by region. All billing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not process payment information directly.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal charges are applied within 24 hours of the renewal date.
Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You retain access to Premium features until the end of the paid period.
Refunds. Refunds are managed by Apple or Google in accordance with their own policies. We are not able to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.
Restoring access. If you have an active Premium subscription, you can restore access on another device using the "Restore purchases" option in the app. This does not create a new charge.
Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account. It is available on all devices signed in with the same account.
5. Use of Third-Party Data
The app relies on third-party weather data sources including Open-Meteo and Apple WeatherKit. We do not control this data and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
Weather data is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for official meteorological services or professional aviation weather briefings.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Can I Fly? and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of the app or reliance on its information. This includes:
- Damage to or loss of drones or equipment
- Financial loss
- Personal injury or property damage
- Any other losses resulting from flight decisions made using the app
7. Changes to the Service
We may update, modify, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available or free from errors.
We may update the features included in the Premium subscription over time. We will not remove core Premium features without reasonable notice.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
